Please welcome my friend and fearless fashionista, Hannah Pakray!
I have been fortunate to know Hannah since freshman year at American, and as my personal fashion guise, friend, and voice of reason, I am honored to have her bold style grace my blog.
Hannah and I first thrift shopped at Value Village in Hyattsville, Maryland, where she would leave with an overflowing trash bag. This trip took place during D.C.'s first "snowpocalypse" in my friend Stacia's van. Needless to say, it was an adventure.
Two years later, Hannah mixes high-end pieces with thrift store finds. Her personal style? Classy. Edgy. Basic. I'm happy to have played a role in Hannah's wardrobe, but her unique style is all her own.
Also, nothing in Hannah's outfits cost more than $50. Shoes included!
The black snakeskin skirt and calf boots were Hannah's Goodwill purchases earlier that day. I love how she's able to throw an element of animal in each outfit, without overdoing.
Top: DKNY, $14.99. Skirt: vintage, $22. Boots: Pazzo, $25.
This look was my favorite. That bold red doesn't work for everyone, but Hannah pulls it off effortlessly.
While this H&M dress would look beautiful by itself, adding a vest, belt, and super casual boots takes the silky fabric down a notch. You may or may not be seeing me in this exact dress in the near future (what would I do without stylish friends to borrow from?). For cooler weather, throw on tights with a cardigan or oversized sweater.
Dress: H&M, $19.99. Vest: Agaci, $25. Combat boots: H&M, $29.99.Hannah wrapped up the shoot in pouring rain (they were thinking, what did we get ourselves into?). The last look was much more casual, but we loved that Hannah included a leopard scarf to spice up the ensemble. Not to mention, it was only $4.99. Hannah claims it's from a store called "Agaci," however I am convinced this could be a lie as she hoards all this amazing and affordable clothing for herself.
Shoes: Aldo, $45.99. Leggings: Express, $29.99. Top: F21, $12.99. Scarf: Agaci, $4.99.
Well folks, that's a wrap! Big round of applause for Ms. Pakray and her budget-conscious yet sassy outfits. Check back Friday for Rachel's shoot in the city.
